American Big Rig Racing
Our first race with the new American Big Rig Racing was held on June 17, 2023 at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana. The large crowd was clearly thrilled to see the big rigs back on the track and the drivers were just as thrilled to be racing again.
This new racing group is a collaboration of semi race drivers, guys who enjoy racing and showing folks that driving semis is "cool", "rad", or whatever the latest term is--it's fun! These drivers love to show off and are prepared for the hits that are inevitable in racing. They go three-wide in the corners on tracks designed for race CARS! They are not afraid to push their rigs to the limit, which results in some "bumpin, rubbin", spins and down right crashes.
These drivers love to show-off their big rigs, which is why they host a pit party at most races. Fans are allowed on the track to meet the drivers and inspect the semis. The trucks are mostly stock, with replacement parts coming off-the-shelf. Of course the exception is the racing equipment installed (race seat, race harness, over-sized roll cage, fuel cells) and the racing safety modifications (one axel removed, glass removed, water cooling system for brakes). And the trucks have all been custom painted. You'll notice that most truck colors include black. Maybe because black duct tape is easy to find. It's used a lot in the pits between races when there's no time for a full repair.

Next Race
As of right now, that is all we have SCHEDULED for the rest of this year, however, we are working with other tracks to hopefully schedule more so that could definitely change!
As for the schedule for next year, we are working on that as well and are planning on having our race schedule for 2024 available by November. Thank you all for the support and we can’t wait to see you at the track!
