As the shortest track that the big rigs run Veterans Motorplex in Greenbriar, Tennessee offers some unique challenges. As a quarter mile high-banked oval there isn't much space, race leaders quickly lap the back of the field. This is probably the most family friendly of all the tracks; you will be evicted from the track for cussing or fighting! And they often include big wheel races for the younger fans. This was a full two-day event for American Big Rig Racing, plus several categories of car racing.

Qualifying VIDEO

Mike qualified with a lap time of 17:641 seconds; the 4th fastest truck. From the fastest to the slowest:

The #46 truck blew a turbo in lap 8 and did not finish. With a red flag stop, the track was cleared of debris and fluids before the restart. Mike Morgan started in 4th and finished in 3rd. Scott Treadway took 1st and Austin Hoppe took 2nd.

Several lead changes, but Chris Kikelhan took 1st, Luke Whitmire 2nd, and Nick Black 3rd.

As in the first heat race, Scott Treadway finished 1st, Austin Hoppe 2nd, and Mike Morgan 3rd. The #46 truck replaced the blown turbo, but had other unresolved issues.

With rain threatening, the Trophy Dash was the only event held of the Matinee session. Only trucks and drivers who had not won so far this year were eligible.

James Suttles finished 1st, Corey Jones 2nd, and Chris Kikelhan 3rd.

Morgan started in 5th and finished in 4th. Scott Treadway finished 1st, Nicholas Black 2nd, and Austin Hoppe 3rd.

As the trucks came out on the track, Chris Kikelhan in the #01 paused between turns one and two showing a new side panel that read "Leaha will you marry me?" Leaha was in the infield taking photos and at first wondered what was wrong, why had Chris stopped? She said "yes".

Scott Treadway finished 1st, Austin Hoppe 2nd, Nicholas Black 3rd, and Mike Morgan 4th. Although there was bumpin and rubbin, there were no full on crashes. That's quite an achievement on such a small track!
