Hawkeye Downs Speedway 2019
Bandit racing returns to Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, September 21st. Last year the race was called because of weather. The track was quickly evacuated when two tornadoes were spotted nearby. The track was not hit, no one was hurt and a makeup date was set. During the makeup race Mackvader blew a turbo in spectacular fashion with flames shooting from the stacks. An engine rebuild was necessary to remove the melted aluminum that coated the engine's interior.
ALERT: This race has been CANCELED due to the rainy forcast and a lack of rescheduling options. Tickets already purchased will be refunded.
