Elko Speedway 2019
Bandit racing returns to Elko Speedway in Elko, MN on Saturday, July 27th. This is a 3/8s mile asphalt oval track. Morgan finished 3rd here in the Main Race to close out 2018.
Morgan qualified in 9th.
One new driver joined the Bandits, Justin Hernandez in the #69, who started with a win of Heat Race 1. The #16 was driven by Randy Briggs.
Heat Race 2 started with Mackvader in 2nd position. He dropped back to 5th with a lot of bumping going on in the front. In lap 5 Craig in #55 spun hitting #7. Mike took the #88 low to miss the wreck, but #55 slid down the track right into #88. Both #7 and #88 did not finish. The three truck race was won by Doug Hilson in #8. Heat Race 3 was won by Allan Boles in #3. When the #88 was checked over it was decided by Morgan that damage was far too extensive and dangerous to continue racing. Most of the damage was not visible to spectators.
Challenge Race 1 was won by Jon Lisenbee in #7; the #88 did not start. Challenge Race 2 was won by Mark Noble in #74.
The Main Race was won by Darren Proffitt in #27, a first-time win for him; the #88 did not start.

With so much damage to the truck in the first event of the evening Mike only picked up 38 points for a total of 488 points. That dropped him back to 9th place.
