Montgomery Motor Speedway 2017
Bandits raced at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 13th in Montgomery, Alabama. Another driver were added to the roster: Virgil Taylor in #54 of Kruckeberg Motorsports.
Kikelhan took 1st in Heat 1 working his way past Boles #3. Kruckeberg's #63 Perterbuilt overheated and Seaman's #29 hit the wall, so neither finished the race.
Morgan ran in Heat Race 2, starting in 4th and finishing in 3rd. Rude (#14) started in 1st and Ball (#17) started in 2nd; both maintained their positions. Taylor's #54 and Kruckeberg's #55 made contact sending #55 into the wall and ending the race for him.
In Challenge Race 1 Kickelhan (#01), Ball (#17) and Proffitt (#27) started and finished 1-2-3.
Challenge Race 2 started with Rude (14), Boles (#3), Morgan (#88) and Boileau (#16) in the top spots. Rude held the lead the entire way. Boles fell back and Boileau moved up. Morgan finished a solid 3rd. [Craig Kruckeberg moved into the #54, leaving his disabled blue Ford (#55) in the pits.]
After the driver autograph session the drivers were brought up onto a flatbed and introduced to the crowd..
Before the Minimizer Main Event the drivers paraded three wide in a salute to the fans. To start Boles (#3) took the lead from Lisenbee (#7) while Boileau (#16), Morgan (#88), Kikelhan (#01), and Ball (#17) swapped positions several times until Ball's truck stalled in the middle of the track bringing out the yellow flag. The restart allowed Rude (#14) to challenge Morgan and then Boles for the lead, which he did take. In 3rd Morgan continued to push Boles until the finish.
