Bandit Racing in Easley, South Carolina on Saturday, April 15th, was the first for a new truck (#29) and driver (Joe Seaman) bringing the fleet of Bandit race trucks to fourteen.
The trucks were split into two heat races with Ball (#17) and Boileau (#16) in a dual for the top spot of the first heat race. Ball won that battle taking first.
Rude (#14) and Morgan (#88) raced door to door for five of the eight laps of Heat #2 until Rude finally pulled ahead to take 1st with Morgan taking 2nd.
In the first Challenge Race of 12 laps Craig Kruckberg kissed the wall long and hard, ending the evening early for #63. Rude finished first of seven trucks in his #14.
Morgan started in 2nd place in his #88 in the second Challenge Race of seven trucks, then passed #17 to take 1st and walk away from the pack!
The 25-lap main event began with Morgan's #88 in 7th position. Boles #3 truck in 2nd place hit the wall hard in the second lap resulting in a long race delay as the truck was removed and fluids mopped up. When the race restarted Morgan and Rude (#14) began moving up. However, Morgan's left rear fender came loose on the front edge, flopping against the wind for the rest of the race. Rude took 1st in #14, Ball took 2nd in #17, and Morgan took a solid 3rd in #88 Mackvader.
